Rondônia doctor Abzair Zigue Eugênio, 28 years old, son of former councilor Ifraim Zigue, died on Saturday (13) after suffering a traffic accident on the highway that connects the municipalities of Minas Novas and Chapada do Norte, in Minas Gerais. According to family members, his death occurred a few days after he passed the first phase of the National Exam for the Revalidation of Medical Diplomas (Revalida).
Abzair was driving a car when he left the road and hit an embankment on a curve. The cause of the accident is being investigated. The young man's body was laid to rest and buried in Cerejeiras (RO), the city where he was born, on Monday (15).
Chapada do Norte City Hall, where Abzair worked for the Mais Médicos program, issued a note of condolence, pointing out that he was "dedicated, human and tireless".
"We express our eternal gratitude for the invaluable services provided to our health network and our community. His absence leaves an immense gap in the hearts of all his co-workers and patients who had the privilege of being cared for by him", says the note.

Who was the doctor?
Born in Cerejeiras (RO), Abzair left the city at the age of 18 to fulfill his dream of studying Medicine in Pedro Juan Caballero, in Paraguay. After graduating, he joined the Mais Médicos Program and began working in Minas Gerais, where he had worked for approximately three years.
According to his cousin, Abner Souza, the doctor had been celebrating approval of the first phase of Revalida for less than a week when he suffered the accident.
"He was a young boy, a recent graduate who was chasing his dreams. He had an entire career ahead of him", reports Abner Souza.
