14th Public Managers Seminar brings together mayors to discuss administration in Ceará Fabiane de Paula/SVM The 14th Public Managers Seminar - Mayors 2026 began this Monday (15), at the Ceará Events Center, in Fortaleza. With themes focused on issues of finance, health, safety, sustainability and management, the program includes the participation of mayors and other members of the public administration. The opening was attended by governor Elmano de Freitas (PT), who gave the inaugural speech; the vice-governor of Ceará, Jade Romero (PT); the president of the National Education Development Fund (FNDE), Fernanda Pacobahyba; and the president of the Chamber of Fortaleza, Leo Couto (PSB). ✅ Click here to follow the g1 Ceará channel on WhatsApp The seminar is promoted by Diário do Nordeste and the Association of Municipalities of the State of Ceará (Aprece), with the Practice Eventos. The expectation is that 6 thousand people will attend the event throughout the days of programming, which continues until Tuesday (16). The seminar will feature around 50 lectures. Names such as federal prosecutor Philippe Magalhães participate in the debates; the counselor at the Court of Auditors of the State of Ceará (TCE), Soraia Victor; the state Secretary of Planning, Alexandre Cialdini; the president of Fecomércio Ceará, Luiz Fernando Bittencourt; between others. Among the main topics highlighted in the program for the second day of the event are: public governance strategic planning integrity and security in hiring modernization of municipal management interfederative cooperation, sustainable development The president of the Association of Municipalities of the State of Ceará, Joacy Júnior, highlighted the event as a space for improving public policies. "It is important to have an event like this so that managers can exchange experiences, be aware of new technological solutions, and that, through these seminars, this new knowledge can be applied in practice, improving the quality of public services", said Joacy. Governor Elmano de Freitas also highlighted the space for exchanging experiences between managers. "I think that having a moment to reflect on these experiences is very positive for us to improve, for us to also listen to certain suggestions and follow new experiences. We grow as managers and learn from each other", he said. For Alex Magalhães, commercial director of Sistema Verdes Mares and mediator of the "Communication and Transparency" panel, communicating with clarity and transparency is one of the main challenges for contemporary managers. "The population needs to follow and understand the actions of public management. Transparency and communication strengthen society's trust, increase citizen participation and demonstrate, in a concrete way, the results achieved throughout the mandate", says Magalhães.
