Tool will work through a virtual assistant on WhatsApp. Disclosure/City Hall of São Vicente The City of São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, announced an artificial intelligence tool to assist teachers in the municipal network in preparing classes and pedagogical activities. The novelty will be implemented from the second academic semester and will serve teachers from the 1st to the 9th year. Developed through a partnership between the Department of Education (Seduc), Associação Nova Escola and Motriz, the tool will work through a WhatsApp channel operated by a virtual assistant. Based on the information provided by the teacher, the system generates suggestions for lesson plans aligned with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), with proposed activities, pedagogical strategies and guidelines for application in the classroom. ✅ Click here to follow the new g1 Santos channel on WhatsApp. According to the municipal administration, the objective is to optimize the work of education professionals, offering more agility in planning classes and allowing greater dedication to monitoring students. "Another great achievement for our education. This partnership with Nova Escola and Motriz comes to make our teaching more modern, practical and efficient for teachers. We will continue to look carefully at our children, seeking initiatives that value professionals and contribute to the development of our students", said Mayor Kayo Amado (Pode), in a statement. Now on g1 Training for coordinators, teachers, specialists and trainers is scheduled to take place virtually on June 19th. The official launch of the program will be held remotely on June 22nd. g1 did not have access to details of the investment in the service. When contacted, the city hall informed that financial details are handled between the institutions. Use of the tool To use the tool, the teacher must inform the topic or skill they want to work on. The system then prepares a personalized lesson plan in a few minutes, with content aligned to the BNCC, the local curriculum and based on the pedagogical knowledge accumulated by Nova Escola over 40 years. According to the city hall, the technology was tested and validated by teachers from the municipal network. Among the educators invited to use the platform, around 98% said they had saved time in preparing classes, enabling greater focus on pedagogical activities and serving students. "Nova Escola was born with the purpose of supporting and empowering teachers in their mission to guarantee quality education for all students. With our new WhatsApp solution, we seek to put technology at the service of educators, offering practical support for pedagogical planning and valuing their role as protagonists of learning", stated Ana Ligia Scachetti, executive director of Associação Nova Escola, also in a note.
