The fire broke out on the top floor of a 3-storey building in Bursa and spread to the adjacent building. The upper floors of both buildings became unusable in the fire. Melek Yazıcı, who lived in the flat where the fire broke out and was trapped under rubble during the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquake and lost her left arm at the elbow, had a nervous breakdown.
