The use of exclusive lanes will only be permitted on weekdays and at times of greatest demand for school transport: from 5:30 am to 7:30 am, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. To use the corridors, vehicles must be registered with the Municipal Mobility Superintendence (Sumob), linked to Belo Horizonte, identified as school transport and transporting students. The boarding and disembarking of students on authorized lanes and corridors remains prohibited. According to the city hall, the initiative meets a demand presented by the category's union and seeks to improve the fluidity of daily journeys made by school transport.
