✅ Follow the g1 Piauí channel on WhatsApp A 14-year-old teenager died after drowning in a pond in the city of Lagoa Alegre, on Friday afternoon. The victim was identified as Carlos Daniel da Silva. According to information provided by Corporal Leandro, from the Military Police, the teenager was participating in a cleaning activity at the reservoir known as Poço Novo when the incident occurred. According to the police officer, Carlos Daniel was there accompanied by two other teenagers and people who worked in the area. At one point, the three entered the water, but only two managed to get out. Carlos Daniel disappeared and was later found floating in the reservoir. A medical care team was called and performed resuscitation procedures. The teenager still showed vital signs when he was rescued and taken to the Lagoa Alegre hospital.
