The arrests took place at different times and in different neighborhoods of the capital. The first case occurred around 11am, when a 31-year-old man was approached at a drug consumption and trafficking point, in the Senador Hélio Campos neighborhood. During patrols, the police noticed a volume on the waist of the two men and suspected that they were armed with knives. No weapons or illicit materials were found during the searches. However, when checking their identities in the Intelligence and Capture Division (Dicap) system, the team confirmed that both were detainees and were breaking the rules of the precautionary measures imposed on them.
