Bragança Paulista City Hall declared an emergency situation in the city following the damage caused by heavy rain and winds recorded between Friday (12) and Saturday (13).
According to Civil Defense, 42.6 millimeters of rain were recorded in 24 hours and wind gusts of up to 92 km/h. The storm caused trees to fall in different regions of the city, electrical network cables to break, road closures and damage to urban infrastructure.
In a report released this Saturday, the city hall reported that more than 150 trees fell in the municipality. Teams from the Civil Defense, Fire Department, Municipal Civil Guard, municipal departments and the energy concessionaire work to remove trees and branches, unblock streets and restore affected services.

According to the city hall, of the approximately 90,000 consumers served by the Energisa concessionaire in Bragança Paulista, approximately 17,000 had their power supply interrupted on Saturday due to rain, wind and atmospheric discharges.
Bragança Paulista faced storm
The emergency decree was published in this Saturday's edition of the Municipality's Official Press and is initially valid for 90 days and may be extended.
With the decree, the city hall will be able to adopt emergency actions to speed up the response to the damage caused by the storm, including the mobilization of technical teams and the execution of services necessary for the recovery of the affected areas.
Despite the intensity of the rains and the large number of incidents recorded, there were no victims.
According to the latest bulletins from the State's Civil Defense, areas of instability continue to affect São Paulo and could cause new rain showers. Teams continue to monitor weather conditions and respond to incidents throughout the day.
