Employees of the APUS human rights project spent two years communicating with prisoners in psychiatric hospitals, lawyers, psychiatrists, former employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service, journalists and human rights activists. In the report “You Can’t Get Out of Here,” they described how Soviet practices of punitive psychiatry are used today.
