Switzerland will not become the first country in the world to cap its population. The Swiss reject the initiative of the populist and nationalist UDC party “No to a Switzerland of 10 million” inhabitants. He proposed limiting in particular the right to asylum and family reunification. The no vote wins by around 55% according to still provisional results.
