Confusion happened in Juá, in Santarém Encontro das Águas Portal/Keila Farias A man died in the early hours of this Sunday (14) after being stabbed in the chest during a June party in the occupation of Juá, in Santarém, in the west of Pará. According to the police, the victim was shot when trying to break up a fight between a man and his stepson. ​Witnesses reported to the Military Police that the suspect and his stepfather started an argument in the occupation field, where the event was taking place with a large movement of people. During the confusion, the young man stabbed his stepfather. ​Upon noticing the attack, the victim tried to intervene to stop the fight, but ended up being hit in the chest. The man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. ​The stepfather was also injured and was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to the Municipal Emergency Room. His health status was not disclosed. ​After the crime, the suspect fled. The case was registered with the 16th Civil Police Section, which carries out searches to locate the perpetrator of the attacks and investigates the motivation for the crime.
