A 54-year-old man was arrested for contempt in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo. During the confusion, caused by the location where a police vehicle was parked, one of the officers slapped the man in the face. He was taken to the police station, where he was interviewed and released.
The case took place on Avenida Thiago Ferreira, in the district of Vicente de Carvalho. In a video obtained by g1, it is possible to see the moment in which the man argued with the police. According to the corporation, the team was responding to an incident at a commercial establishment when they began to be offended by the man.

The images also show the moment in which the man points his finger at one of the police officers. Afterwards, they get into a physical fight, and the man ends up restrained by the police. In a statement, the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) reported that the use of force was necessary.

According to the SSP-SP, after the approach, the man was taken to an emergency room to receive medical care. He was then taken to the 2nd Police District of Guarujá. The case was registered on Wednesday (10) and forwarded to the Special Criminal Court (Jecrim).
The secretariat also informed that the incident is being investigated and the images recorded by the body cameras of the police officers involved will be analyzed during the investigation.
