The Swiss called to vote on an anti-immigration initiative proposing to cap the population at 10 million inhabitants by 2050

This initiative, in a Switzerland where foreigners represent more than a quarter of the population, aims to limit immigration in order to prevent the permanent resident population from exceeding 10 million inhabitants by 2050 while the country currently has 9.5 million.
