Because of the war in Ukraine, then that in the Middle East, the price of aluminum is only increasing. Around 9% of the aluminum produced in the world comes from the Middle East. And, as with oil or plastic, this lack of supply is disrupting the entire economy and causing market costs to rise by around 10% since the start of the conflict. Alternatives are being implemented in French companies to be less dependent on global trade, such as recycling. But France is not in compliance at this level with European law.
