The investigations began after a request for support made by the Federal Police, which was following the case together with the Civil Police of Maranhão. During this period, the fugitives even tried to present themselves to the authorities via video call, a measure that was not accepted by the delegate responsible for the investigations, who ordered the continuation of the search to locate the suspects and comply with court orders.
