Father Donizetti was beatified in 2019, after Pope Francis recognized the miracle that cured Bruno Henrique Arruda de Oliveira's clubfeet. To be canonized, it is necessary to recognize another miracle of the blessed. I usually say that he is the saint at home who performs miracles", said Mayor Leonardo Spiga Real. The priest's beatification and canonization process began in 1992. "We are part of the commission that continues the work because we need one more miracle after the date of beatification, November 23, 2019, for him to be canonized," said journalist Francisco Donizete Sartori.
