28th edition of Parada Livre, in 2025 Disclosure/Free Stop The 29th edition of the Porto Alegre Free Parade takes place on Sunday (14), at Parque Farroupilha, Redenção. The event, which celebrates LGBTQIA+ pride month, is scheduled to start at 12pm and is free entry. With the theme "Our Pride at the Ballot Box", the edition seeks to reflect on the importance of the participation of LGBTQIA+ people in politics to guarantee their rights. 📲 Access the g1 RS channel on WhatsApp 🏳️‍🌈 Considered one of the oldest in the country, the Free Parade in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul became Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Municipality in 2025. The event is organized by around 15 civil society entities. Now on g1 According to the Parade organization, the theme "is a call for LGBTQIA+ people to participate in the electoral process, especially during an election year." The program features performances by around 40 local artists. From 4pm onwards, the event's traditional march takes place, which goes around Farroupilha Park. The space will also house the "Street of Rights", aimed at promoting the citizenship of LGBTQIAPN+ people. The location will have coordinated services between civil society organizations and public authorities. Institutions such as the RS Public Defender's Office, the General Institute of Expertise, the Municipal Health Department and the Public Defender's Ombudsman's Office will be on site with tents, kiosks and gazebos. Among the organizations responsible are Abalô Conexões Plurais, Coletivo Amora, CUT, Igualdade, Mães pela Diversidade, Nuances - Group for Free Sexual Expression, NGO Somos - Comunicação, Saúde e Sexualidade, Outra Visão, Pampacats, National Network of LGBTI+ Communicators, Teia - Institute of Citizenship and Human Rights, UJS and the Brazilian Union of All Women.
