A German motorist has just covered nearly 2,400 kilometers in one go at the wheel of a 1998 Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI. A feat of eco-driving which can be compared to a world record of more than 2,800 kilometers in a diesel sedan. Enough to also relaunch the war for maximum autonomy against the current queens of the new, whether hybrid or 100% electric.
