Local sources in Herat have told the BBC that at least four people have been arrested after trying to hold a demonstration in front of the governor's office. The spokesperson of Herat province has denied this issue. Meanwhile, the governor of the Taliban government in Herat has said that "no woman or girl is imprisoned in this province because of the issue of hijab." A small number of girls were punished by their sisters and fathers and returned to their homes with dignity.
