The 2026 World Cup will be the first to be held in three different countries in history. Of them, by far, the USA is the country that is home to the most Brazilian citizens.
There are around 2,067,225, according to data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In a distant second place comes Canada, with a Brazilian community of 151 thousand citizens, and, finally, Mexico, with 35 thousand.
But in which of the tournament's 16 host cities will Brazilian fans be best represented?
Now on g1
Itamaraty does not count the number of Brazilian citizens residing abroad – they are registered by diplomatic posts. With this data, it is possible to make an estimate.
The numbers used in this report refer to 2025 and were provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
See which venues have the biggest local fans in Brazil:
New Jersey-New York and Philadelphia
The MetLife Stadium, Brazil's debut venue in the competition and the stage for the grand final, is located in East Rutherford, in the state of New Jersey – but just a few kilometers from New York City, so much so that the place is home to some of the sports franchises that represent the city.
The place is home to the New York Giants and New York Jets, for example, two teams from the American Football League (NFL).

New York's consular jurisdiction has a community of 500,000 Brazilians under its jurisdiction, or just under a quarter of the entire Brazilian community in the USA.
The venue for Brazil's second World Cup match, in Philadelphia, is also part of the jurisdiction. The Lincoln Financial Field, with 69 thousand seats, will host the game between Brazil and Haiti on June 19th.
Boston
Gilette Stadium, in Foxborough, in the Boston metropolitan region, is another venue with a large yellow-green crowd. There are 440 thousand Brazilians living under the jurisdiction of the consulate located in the capital of Massachusetts.
Depending on the results of the group stage, the Brazilian team could step onto the Foxborough pitch in the quarterfinals, if they qualify second in the group stage, or in the round of 16, if they have a campaign below expectations at the beginning and finish as one of the best third parties.
Miami
On June 24, Ancelotti's team takes the field against Scotland to play against the third largest Brazilian community in North American territory.
There are 400 thousand people in Miami's consular jurisdiction. The Hard Rock Stadium is located in Miami Gardens and has 65 thousand seats, where most of the occupants will be wearing green and yellow to watch the third and final game of the group stage.
The city of Orlando, also in Florida, will not host the tournament, but it has a general consulate that is responsible for 220,000 Brazilians who can help join the chorus of fans.

Atlanta
Georgia's capital and most populous city has a 75,000-seat stadium and is home to a consular representation with 120,000 Brazilians.
Brazil could play the semi-final at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, if they make it there, depending on their performance in the group stage of the competition.
Los Angeles
The largest community of Brazilians on the West Coast of the USA, with 100 thousand citizens, will be far from the team in the first phase of the World Cup. There is no chance of Brazil playing at SoFi Stadium, regardless of the combination of results. San Francisco
The other headquarters in California, with a consular jurisdiction that serves 90 thousand Brazilian citizens, will also not see the Canarian team nearby. This is because Levi’s Stadium, in Santa Clara, in the San Francisco Bay region, will only host one knockout game.
Toronto
The community of 90,000 Brazilians served by Toronto will not see Brazil play at BMO Field, the smallest stadium in this World Cup, with space for 45,000 fans.
Houston, Dallas and Kansas City
The consulate general in Houston serves 38,000 Brazilian residents in Texas and neighboring states, where three competition headquarters are located.
Houston will be on Brazil's path towards the sixth place if they qualify in second place in the group stage. In this bracket, the semifinal will be in Arlington, a suburb of Dallas, where the World Cup's largest stadium in terms of fan capacity is located: there are 94 thousand seats.
Mexico
There are 35 thousand Brazilians residing in Mexico – Itamaraty has only one consulate general in the country. In the unlikely event that Brazil qualifies with a bad campaign, taking third place in group C, they will play the first two knockouts at the Azteca Stadium, in the Mexican capital.
Another possibility is to watch Brazil play in Monterrey, in the north of the country, if they come second in the group.
