Gaza's most famous doctor has been imprisoned without charge for more than 530 days and almost two weeks in solitary confinement, in a cell so tiny that he can only sit. This first image since the beginning of 2025 – taken by several media outlets, including France 24 – has reactivated concern about his state of health and the demand for his immediate release. Israel, however, is holding him on secret charges, along with 13 other Palestinian doctors.
