Qatar declares “force majeure” at the “Ras Laffan” facility

Qatar announced today, Friday, that the decision to declare a state of “force majeure” on gas contracts related to the Ras Laffan liquefied natural gas facility came for reasons related to the safety of workers, categorically denying allegations of coordination with Iran regarding operational decisions related to energy production or of an exaggeration of the damage to the facility.
