Santo Antônio do Potengi Gymnasium 2025 - SGA/RN Frankie Marcone The tradition, popular culture and brilliance of the June gangs will take over São Gonçalo do Amarante with the São Gonçalo Junino 2026 Festival. With support from the City of São Gonçalo do Amarante, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture, in partnership with InterTV, the event will be held between the 12th and 14th of June, at the Ginásio de Santo Antônio do Potengi, bringing together some of the main June gangs in Rio Grande do North. The program will feature presentations in the Traditional and Stylized categories, in addition to the special participation of groups from São Gonçalo do Amarante. Frankie Marcone Before the start of the official competition, the city is already getting into the spirit of June festivities with the grand opening party, scheduled for June 11th, starting at 8pm, on Rua dos Antúrios, the traditional stage for celebrations in Santo Antônio do Potengi. The night will feature shows by Kelvy Pablo, Ferro na Boneca, Forró Virote and Márcia Forrozeira. The event is already sponsored by Instituto Integra Brasil. The champion of the Stylized category will also guarantee a place to represent Rio Grande do Norte in the Globo Nordeste final. The São Gonçalo Junino Festival aims to strengthen and preserve northeastern cultural traditions, promoting cultural exchange, income generation and appreciation of the state's June groups.
