There was fresh snowfall in the high hills of Himachal Pradesh last night and rain in other parts. There was a strong storm in many places including Shimla. The high peaks of Bharmour and Lahaul Spiti received snow again. After this a drop in temperature was recorded. The weather has become pleasant in the mountains. At the same time, after heavy rains last evening in Bharmour of Chamba, there was flood in Garh Nala of Rajera. 20 sheep and goats were washed away. Due to this the cattle rearer suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees. Incidents of trees falling and vehicles getting buried under debris were also reported in different parts of the state. Even today, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert of heavy hailstorm and storm in Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla and Sirmaur districts. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour. Yellow alert has been warned in all other districts except Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur. The temperature will drop by three to four degrees. According to IMD, rain will continue in the state for the next four days. This will cause the temperature to drop by three to four degrees. There is no hope of respite from rain in the state till June 17. Yellow alert of storm has been given in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla districts from 13 to 15 June. The temperature of all cities except Una has dropped. During the last 24 hours also, the maximum temperature of all other cities except Una has decreased. The maximum temperature of Keylong in Lahaul Spiti on Thursday was 20.2 degrees after falling by 3.7 degrees, Nahan was 32.8 degrees after falling by 3.4 degrees, Kangra was 37.0 degrees after falling by 1.5 degrees and Mandi was 37.2 degrees after falling by 1.3 degrees.
