According to firefighters, adverse weather conditions increased the complexity of the incident. The rain left the tree and equipment slippery, while the gusts of wind caused constant movement of the canopy, requiring a greater level of technique, attention and caution during the operation.
After reaching the cat, the soldier placed it in a lined rescue bag, to ensure protection during the descent. Then, rappelling was carried out using specific equipment for rescue at height. The animal was delivered unharmed to its owner at the end of the incident.
