Without financial resources, documents and without being able to contact family members, he ended up alone in the city and had to be welcomed by the city's social assistance network. Walter was received at the Migrant Assistance and Reception Unit on May 13th. Since then, he tried to return to Roraima, but had no information that would allow him to locate relatives. After several attempts, social assistance teams managed to locate one of the elderly man's children. With contact reestablished, his return to his city of origin is being organized.
