Graduates in 2026
For high school graduates from public schools, registration is automatic for the first time. In this case, the student will only need to confirm their participation in the registration system, choose a foreign language test (English or Spanish) and indicate, if applicable, the need for accessibility resources or whether they want to be addressed by their social name.
Inclusion and accessibility
The deadline for requesting treatment by social name in all phases of the exam has also been changed and can be made until this Friday (12).
The option is aimed at trans people, who identify and want to be socially recognized for their gender identity. Signage must be marked at the time of registration.
The deadline of June 12th also applies to candidates who require specialized assistance.
In this year of Enem 2026, new conditions for people with fibromyalgia and mental disorders, such as anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), are among the possible situations to request specialized care.
Other specific conditions for requesting specialized care include: low vision, blindness, physical, hearing and intellectual disabilities, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), pregnant women, breastfeeding women, diabetics, elderly people and students in hospital classes, among other conditions.
The preliminary response to the request for specialized assistance and treatment by social name will be published on June 26th.
Registration fee
After registration, the Enem system will generate the GRU Charge in the amount of R$85.
Payment of the exam registration fee must be made between May 25th and June 17th.
Payment options are via Pix, credit card, debit card or bank slip. Payment can be made at any bank, lottery outlet or banking apps.
Registration will only be confirmed after payment of this fee has been processed.
More test locations
In 2026, the Enem tests are scheduled for Sundays, November 8th and 15th.
In this edition, Inep wants to increase the number of exam locations to around 10,000 across the country.
According to Inep estimates, approximately 80% of public school graduates must take the two-day Enem exams at the school where they study. The measure aims to facilitate access to the exam and reduce travel.
For students who need to take the test in another municipality, the MEC announced that it is also studying alternative logistical support for transport between municipalities.
Enem
The National High School Examination, which assesses the academic performance of students at the end of basic education, is considered the main way of entering higher education in Brazil, through federal programs such as the Unified Selection System (Sisu), the University for All Program (Prouni) and the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
Public and private educational institutions use test results to select students.
Since the 2025 edition, Enem has once again certified the completion of this teaching stage for candidates who are 18 years of age and who also achieve the minimum score in each area of knowledge in the tests and writing. Individual exam results can also be used in selection processes at Portuguese institutions that have an agreement with Inep. The agreements guarantee easy access to grades for Brazilian students interested in pursuing higher education in Portugal.
