The song “Peão Todo Tatuado”, one of the biggest hits of 2026 on digital platforms, almost had a different name and almost stopped being recorded in Goiânia. Jeninho's hit, which mixes country music and electrofunk, went viral on social media even before its official release and today has millions of reproductions.
Before reaching the public, the song was called “Chicote Estrala”, a reference to the dance in the chorus. But the singer decided to change the name after realizing how the public was looking for the song on digital platforms.
"I went searching for 'Peão Todo Tatuado' on Spotify and saw a bunch of playlists created with that name. People were already waiting for the song. Then I realized that this was how people would look for it when it was released", said the artist.

Song went viral before release
The singer said that he decided to publish a simple video of the DVD recording just to “test” the public's reaction on the internet. The recording, made on a cell phone in the audience, ended up quickly going viral.
“People started to get the audio to do dances, trends, transitions… and the song didn’t even have a release date yet,” he said.
With the unexpected repercussion, the team had to speed up the official release of the song.
"On the first day it reached numbers that no song of mine had reached in less than 24 hours. That's when I was sure we had gotten it right", he said.

Storm almost disrupted DVD recording
The success is part of the DVD “Abacaxi Pegou Price”, recorded in Goiânia, in January this year. According to Jeninho, the recording took place in an open space during a period of heavy rain in the capital.
“It had been raining every single day for two weeks straight,” he recalled.
The singer said that, at the moment he announced the participation of singer Mariana Fagundes, it started to rain and part of the audience even dispersed. The technical team also began collecting equipment to prevent damage.
It was then that a member of the production team improvised protection for the cameras using umbrellas sold near the location.
“The rain eased up, Mariana came in, we recorded and then the weather opened up”, he said.
According to the artist, the moment Mariana sang the chorus live was the first sign that the song could become a phenomenon.
“The crowd started singing along as if the song already existed,” he said.
‘I’m proud to be from Goiás’, says singer
Born in Goiânia, Jeninho is the son of music producer Jenner Melo and said he grew up surrounded by music. Before his artistic career, he tried to pursue football, but decided to definitely focus on music.
Today, with the song at the top of digital platforms, the singer says he is proud to represent Goiás nationally and to help popularize electrofunk, a genre that has gained strength in the state.
“I am very proud to tell everyone that I am from Goiás,” he said.
According to the artist, the song's success also shows the strength of Goiânia's music scene and can encourage other independent artists.
"It's worth dreaming, it's worth believing. It seems difficult, and it really is, but it's not impossible," he said.
