The next day after the Ukrainian Armed Forces drone hit the “Defense of Sevastopol” panorama museum, it is still unclear whether anything from the painting exhibited there survived the fire. The Soviet copy was damaged: only fragments of the original work by Franz Roubaud have reached us, since during the Second World War the building built specifically for the painting was already on fire. Architectural journalist Asya Zolnikova talks about the fate of the panorama, created in memory of one war, and then became a victim of two others.
