According to family members, the victim was found dead by his own son when he arrived at the residence. The suspicion is that the death occurred between Friday night and Saturday.
The circumstances of the crime have not yet been clarified, and the Italian court ordered an autopsy to be carried out, while the police isolated the property to collect evidence.
Official documents indicate that biological traces, blood samples, genetic material and personal belongings of the victim were collected. Investigators also analyze images from the condominium's security cameras to identify possible movement in the residence before the death.
The case is monitored by the Consulate General of Brazil in Italy. The family, who lives in Maranhão, awaits the results of the forensic exams and new information about the investigation.

The victim's brother, Nilson Santos, is expected to arrive in São Luís this Thursday (12), coming from Penalva. According to the family, he intends to resolve issues related to the passport and organize a possible trip to Italy to follow the case.
In addition to searching for answers about his sister's death, Nilson claims to be facing difficulties in bringing Maria da Conceição Serra Santos' body back to Maranhão. In a video posted on social media, he asked for support from the authorities and the population to pay for the transfer.
"I'm recording this video here to ask my friends, the municipal authorities, the Brazilian State authority, that today my family finds itself in an unfavorable situation. My sister was murdered in Italy, in a European country, and I ask for help from all the authorities in Brazil and friends who can help transfer my sister", highlighted the victim's brother.
Nilson also stated that he does not have the financial means to bear the costs of transporting the body to Brazil.
"I am unable to make this transfer and the support of all of you. I thank you in advance."
