A 21-year-old young man, identified as Thiago Caldas Rodrigues, died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a loose cow on RJ-186, between São José de Ubá and Itaperuna, in Noroeste Fluminense. The accident happened on Tuesday night (10), near Lago das Palmeiras.
According to reports, there were other animals loose on the highway at the time of the accident.
Thiago was rescued by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to a health unit in São José de Ubá.

According to medical information, the young man suffered serious injuries, including a perforated lung that caused internal bleeding. During treatment, he presented successive cardiorespiratory arrests.
The teams tried to stabilize his clinical condition and transfer him to a more complex unit, but he did not survive his injuries.
The accident once again draws attention to the risks caused by the presence of animals loose on highways in the region, especially on stretches with frequent movement of motorcyclists and drivers.
