Frozen Iranian assets will be used to pay compensation to Gulf countries for damage caused by Tehran during the conflict, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Thursday. “Any damage caused to our allies in the Persian Gulf will be paid for using funds seized from Iranian accounts,” the minister wrote on social media.
