US Treasury Secretary: Any damage Iran inflicts on the Gulf states will be paid for from its frozen assets

US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent said Thursday that his country will use funds from frozen Iranian accounts to pay compensation to the Gulf states for the damage they suffered as a result of "Iranian attacks," adding that any fees Tehran collects from ships to allow passage of the Strait of Hormuz will also be deducted from its accounts.
