On Rua 7-C, in Setor Garavelo, the nostalgia of the 2000s returned with full force in the paintings. The idea was from businessman Daniel Muniz, 32 years old. In an interview with reporter Ildeu Iussef, from Jornal O Popular, Daniel said that the idea came about after his wife showed him a video seen on social media. From then on, he began looking for traders to raise funds for decoration.
"We wanted to bring to the street that nostalgia of the 2000s that we experienced and those kids today didn't have the opportunity", said Daniel.
The paintings with flags and illustrations of Neymar, Pelé, Ronaldinho Gaúcho and the five cups won by Brazil in the World Cup were made by tattoo artists. The street also has a character much loved by Brazilians: Fuleco, the mascot of the 2014 World Cup, which took place in Brazil.
