The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (Minusca) has officially handed over the Mbaïki base to the Central African State. The ceremony was held on Wednesday June 10, in the presence of local authorities, Minusca partners as well as the diplomatic corps. By handing over these bases to the government, Minusca also transfers several responsibilities to the national authorities, in particular the security of the areas concerned, the protection of civilians, support to administrative authorities as well as the maintenance of certain communication routes.
