US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth visited the US base at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba on Wednesday, the Pentagon said. “The future of Cuba lies in the hands of the President of the United States and the leadership of Cuba,” Hegseth told base personnel. “Whatever happens, the Department of War will be prepared for any possible contingency,” he stressed.
