Couple is shot during robbery in the North Zone of SP A couple returning home was shot after being chased by a motorcycle robber on Tuesday night (9) in the Brasilândia neighborhood, in the North Zone of São Paulo. The 29-year-old woman was hit in the abdomen and the 35-year-old man was grazed by a bullet. A security camera that recorded the crime shows that, at no point, did they react. (See above.) According to the police, the victims were returning from work at around 6:30 pm on Rua Vicente Lazzari, also on a motorcycle, when they were approached by the armed criminal. The two did not realize they were being chased. The images show the moment the couple gets off the motorcycle after the approach. Then the robber shoots them. Scared to see his wife shot and lying next to the motorcycle, the husband despairs and gives his belongings to the criminal. The robber even stole a wedding ring from one of the victims before fleeing. Neighbors provided first aid to the couple until emergency teams arrived. The victims were taken to Hospital da Brasilândia, where they remain under medical care. The woman underwent surgery after the projectile became lodged near her back. She remains hospitalized and will undergo a new surgical procedure. So far, there is no official update on his health status. The police report was registered as a robbery in the 72nd Police District (Vila Penteado). The case remains under investigation by the Civil Police. According to a police officer interviewed by the report, the investigation was considered complex because there was another assault against pedestrians in the same region on the same day.
