The Ministers of Algeria, Nigeria and Niger launched the start of construction work on the Algerian part of the Trans-Saharan gas pipeline in the Ulf region in the Algerian state of Adrar. The Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline project is estimated at US$13 billion and is expected to transport up to 30 billion cubic meters of gas annually to Europe, extending a distance of approximately 4,000 kilometers through Nigeria, Niger and Algeria.
