Woman was murdered by her partner in Viamão, according to the Police Disclosure/BM A man was sentenced to 29 years in prison for the murder of his partner, a 65-year-old woman, in Viamão. The decision was taken by the Jury Court this Tuesday (9). The jurors recognized the crime as triple homicide, by cruel means, with a resource that made the victim's defense difficult and characterized as feminicide, in addition to the practice of destroying a corpse. 📲 Access the g1 RS channel on WhatsApp The identities of the man and woman were not released by the Public Ministry (MP) of RS. What is femicide? The crime took place in February 2024, in the Cecília neighborhood. According to the MP, the victim was attacked with a knife inside the place where he lived and worked. Afterwards, the body was decapitated by his companion. According to the complaint, the man, who was 29 years old at the time, was arrested red-handed when he left the property with the knife used in the murder. He has remained in detention since then. The victim ran a small business at the same address where she was killed, an activity she had carried out for around ten years. She also lived in a house at the back of the establishment.
