Truck catches fire near gas station and sets fire to another car's tire in MT A pickup truck used to make deliveries caught fire near a gas station and the flames reached a parked car on Tuesday afternoon (9), on Avenida Dom Bosco, in Cuiabá. Nobody was injured. According to the Fire Department (CBMMT), the Expresso Juína company truck was traveling along the road when the driver noticed smoke coming from the vehicle, close to the access to Avenida Joaquim Murtinho. As he was close to a gas station, he drove the truck a few meters and parked on the side of the road. The driver and a companion managed to get out in time and were not injured. According to firefighters, the fuel that leaked from the truck hit another car parked nearby, causing the flames to reach one of the car's wheels. The teams fought the fire, removed the car from the risk area and prevented the fire from spreading to other nearby vehicles or structures. After controlling the flames, the vehicles were released so that the owners could claim their insurance.
