Security camera images (see above) show how the crimes happened. In Sobradinho, one of the suspects enters the pharmacy, takes products from the refrigerator and puts them in a bag in a few seconds.
Other accomplices help to collect goods, which are scattered on the floor during the action. In about three minutes, the group leaves the place after breaking down the metal door. The loss was R$200 thousand.
Businessman Adriano Costa had his pharmacy raided in Ceilândia and lost around R$20,000 worth of medicines. He reported that the criminals acted quickly and without concern for security cameras.
"They go directly to the refrigerator to look for the most expensive medicines. Today, these are slimming pens, which have a high value on the market", he says.

According to him, the action is no longer inhibited by surveillance systems. "They didn't care about the cameras here. In fact, they rely on impunity.", he asked.
Similar cases were recorded in other regions. In Arniqueira, a man took injectable medications and antibiotics, causing losses of R$70,000.
In the Northwest, criminals emptied refrigerators in a few seconds and mainly took weight-loss pens. The damage was estimated at R$85,000.
Planned crimes
According to the police, the group planned the crimes in advance.
According to delegate Paulo Renato Fayão, the suspects visited the establishments before the thefts to identify the location of the most valuable products.
"They did a preliminary survey, checked where the refrigerators and the most valuable products were. On the day of the action, they went straight to those items", explained the delegate.
Resale online
The police also identified that the stolen medicines were resold in messaging app groups. For researchers, in addition to the financial impact, the scheme represents a risk to public health.
"These products need to be stored at an appropriate temperature. After theft, there is no control over conservation, which can compromise quality and safety for those who purchase", warned the delegate.
Investigations continue to identify others involved in the scheme.
