Technological training: IFPI launches Inovatech project with technological residency
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí (IFPI) opened 975 places for free technical courses in the second half of 2026. The opportunities are for units in Teresina and in the interior of the state. Registration begins this Wednesday (10) and continues until June 23.

The vacancies are distributed among the campuses of Altos, Barras, Esperantina, Floriano, Picos and Teresina (Central, Dirceu and Zona Sul units).
The courses are offered in two modalities: concomitant, for those still attending high school, and subsequent, aimed at those who have already completed this stage.
Registration and fees
Registration must be made exclusively online, on the website selecao.ifpi.edu.br. To register, you must have an account on the Gov.br portal.
The registration fee is R$20. Payment must be made by June 24, at Banco do Brasil branches, apps or ATMs.
Fee exemption
Candidates from low-income families registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) can request exemption from the registration fee. The request must be made at the time of registration, between June 10th and 16th.
Evidence and results
The exam will be held on July 19 and will last four hours. The objective test will have 60 questions, divided equally between Portuguese and Mathematics.
The test locations will be announced on July 13th. The final result is scheduled for July 27th.
Reservation of places (quotas)
The IFPI reserves 50% of places for students who completed their entire elementary education in public schools. Within this group, there are subquotas by family income and for candidates who declare themselves black, mixed race, indigenous or quilombola.
There is also a reservation of 5% of places for people with disabilities (PwD), regardless of school of origin or income. Transgender, transvestite or transsexual candidates can request the use of their social name during the process.
