Somali referee Omar Artan, turned away on Saturday when he entered the United States, will not officiate during the Football World Cup due to start on Thursday, the International Football Federation announced to AFP on Monday. The reasons for the rejection of Omar Artan, who notably refereed in the African Cup of Nations, are not known.
