The sisters and singers Ana Clézia and Laudicéia Gomes even sold coxinha and chicken, set up a bazaar and a stall selling guaraná from the Amazon to pay for the production and release of the first CD with original songs. The duo won over the Palmense evangelical public, and Ana Clézia's death caused commotion in the community.
The older sister died at the age of 38, after spending seven days in hospital in Palmas. She fell into a coma the day she was admitted to the hospital. Ana had been undergoing treatment for her liver for 15 years and also lived with other chronic illnesses. Doctors recommended a transplant, but she never underwent the procedure.
"She always dreamed big, she had an eagle's vision. [...] Always singing, wherever she arrived, she could give her a guitar, "beat" any instrument she was already singing on. She lived the same amount of time that a transplanted person lives, and she was happy. My sister was happy", says Laudicéia.
The sister says that Ana was playful and fun, and that she liked to give nicknames to her friends and family. "The disease, over time, took that away from her. She no longer wanted to leave the house. But until then, in 2025, she played a lot", he reports.

Poor health
Ana was diagnosed with a chronic illness at 14 years of age. According to Laudicéia, her sister had rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, colitis and ulcerative colitis.
The last hospitalization was due to a kidney stone, on June 5th. She was taken to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Palmas.
"They gave her medication to ease the pain and she never woke up. Three days later, she was intubated. They waited for her to wake up from the normal encephalopathy that she always had and tried to do hemodialysis on the last day to see if she would return", he explains.
On April 15, Ana showed her followers some moments of her treatment. In the images, she appears visibly weakened and with bruises on her legs. "I'm alive and we're going to war because our general is Christ and He guarantees us victory," wrote the singer.
Before her death on Friday (5), Ana Clézia's health condition was considered serious, according to a medical bulletin released on Thursday (4). The medical team attempted hemodialysis, but had to interrupt the intervention due to clinical instability.
