Montes Claros City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure and Urban Planning, has been intensifying work on the Bairro Novo Delfino sports complex, which includes three components: the stadium with its terrace, the Ecological Park and the Training Center. The works are part of the Montesclarear program, recently announced by Mayor Guilherme Guimarães and which will invest around R$1 billion in the areas of infrastructure, health, education, culture, sport and leisure, among others. “The work will not only benefit the residents of Novo Delfino”, believes driver Adão Lima Solon Queiroz "I've been a resident here in Novo Delfino for 45 years and we've been waiting for this benefit here for the neighborhood for a long time, especially for people who live in the lower part, because when it rained the inconvenience was huge, as it flooded everything. But, thanks to the current administration, this problem was resolved, with a beautiful project that will benefit not only the residents of Novo Delfino, but everyone who will use this road", declared driver Adão Herley Lima. The couple Ana Carolina and Mateus do not hide their joy at seeing the birth of this work Solon Queiroz For the couple Mateus Alves and Ana Carolina Feitosa, residents of Rua 72, in Novo Delfino, the revitalization of the region, with drainage and asphalt paving, increased the population's self-esteem, causing more belonging, because, in addition to solving the problem of flooding during the rainy season and dust during the dry season, it also adds value to their properties. "We've been living here in this neighborhood for a little over a year, and it's a huge satisfaction to see this work being carried out. Honestly, I had little hope that this would actually happen, as the neighbors always commented that it was just another campaign promise. However, we were wrong and we just have to thank the current administration. To understand what the situation was like before, during the rains it was very difficult to get into the house, as the water reached up to the knees because of the flooding", commented Mateus Alves. “In addition to solving the problem of flooding, it also reduces dust during drought, preventing illnesses and keeping the house in order, increasing the value of properties”, added Ana Carolina. According to Mayor Guilherme Guimarães, an increasingly dynamic Montes Claros demands improvements in infrastructure to boost the economy and the social aspect of the city. "Making traffic more efficient, reducing the time it takes people to travel, is a strategy to attract more investment. Furthermore, investments in infrastructure and the environment have been significant, not to mention sport, which has never received so many resources", stated Guilherme Guimarães. He also mentioned that the new municipal stadium will be available soon, as well as access roads, which will benefit residents of the region, in addition to a park that will be opened next door. “A complete city takes care of its people in a comprehensive way, all with its own resources, coming from the citizens of Montes Claros”, he concluded, showing the importance of collecting Urban Property and Territorial Tax (IPTU).
