The sign of detente came on TV in Iran. The presenter announced: the Iranian military declared the suspension of the attacks. But they threatened “severe” action if Israeli operations continued. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in turn, also promised to respond with "full force" if Israel is attacked again.

The pause in attacks came after the President of the United States posted that Iran and Israel should immediately stop “shooting”. The new escalation highlighted the difficulty that Donald Trump faces in negotiating an end to the war. Trump wrote that final "peace" negotiations are underway, but that ignorance or stupidity could get in the way.
However, Israeli attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon continued. A missile hit the historic city of Tire this Monday (8).
