Cristiane graduated in journalism from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in 2008. She had a postgraduate degree in Spanish Translation, Applied Linguistics at the State University of Ceará (Uece) and in Public Administration at Fundação Getúlio Vargas. In Ceará, Cristiane worked as a producer at TV Verdes Mares and also as a press officer for the Public Ministry of Ceará. Entities mourn death The Union of Professional Journalists of the Federal District (SJPDF) and the Collective of Women Journalists of the Federal District issued a statement lamenting the journalist's death. "In addition to her technical competence, Cristiane was very studious and committed to human rights and access to information. In the field of trade unions and social movements, she stood out for her courage and firmness in defending her colleagues and never remained silent in the face of labor irregularities, driven by an inexhaustible ability to be indignant against injustices", said the entities. "We have lost a loving friend, an exemplary fighting partner and a professional who saw journalism as an essential tool for defending people's rights. She will be missed in all areas of our profession and activism", they added.
