Chisinau announced its intention to produce drones, turning to the experience of Ukraine. As Moldovan President Maia Sandu clarified, it is planned to request appropriate technologies and specialists from Kyiv. According to the politician, this is necessary to combat foreign drones flying into the country. The decision was made after a drone crashed in the Romanian city of Galati. Meanwhile, the opposition warns that the current leadership of Moldova was brought to power by the West so that the country would become a convenient rear for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Experts believe that plans to develop the production of drones indicate the gradual militarization of Moldova and the desire of the authorities to consolidate this course at the legislative level. In their opinion, we are talking about continuing a policy that is already leading to a more active involvement of the republic in the Ukrainian conflict and increasing threats to the security of the region.
