The accident happened around 9:40 pm on Saturday (6), in a stretch known as Córrego dos Lelés. The car left the road, overturned several times and fell down the bank, in an area that was difficult to access. According to reports, a witness said he was in a snack trailer, talking to the victims at around 9:30 pm. According to her, all the occupants of the car were drinking alcohol, including the driver. The witness said he was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident because he was in the bathroom there. By the time he managed to get out, the car had already left the area. The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated by the authorities. The victims were found at different points on the slope, along the path of the fall. The bodies were removed from the scene by a funeral home and sent for legal proceedings. City Hall declared official mourning Due to the deaths, the City of Imbé de Minas declared three days of official mourning in the municipality.
