Man is seriously injured after accident on MA-034 in Coelho Neto A motorcyclist identified as Fábio Costa de Paula, aged 40, was seriously injured after an accident with a pickup truck in the rural area of Coelho Neto, in the interior of Maranhão. The collision happened around 3pm on Saturday (6), in the town of Itapirema, at the exit to the town of Descanso. Witnesses reported fractures in the pelvis region, as well as injuries to the right arm and leg. Fábio Costa was rescued by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to the Caxias Emergency Hospital. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene.
